Welcome

Welcome to D. Roa Photography....the Blog! Here, I will post sneak peeks from sessions and also a little of my own personal life. I am a maternity, newborn, child & family photographer based in San Diego, California but can also hold sessions in surrounding areas, such as Temecula, Orange County, and Los Angeles....just contact me and we can work out the perfect location for you. I am an on location, natural light photographer.....which means that I will come to you....wherever you are or wherever you would like to have your session....I'm there! My style is modern, casual yet, fun and oh so fresh! I love a good combination of black and white along with beautiful bold color, and will offer both options for every session I do. I prefer to capture those natural moments as they happen....as opposed to having everything overly posed and uncomfortable. I feel so blessed to be able to pursue my dream in life with photography, as we all know life is short... so being able to do something I love has truly been a joy! Let me capture and freeze the moments you never want to forget, let's face it....they're only little once, right?! If you see an image you love, please feel free to leave a comment and thanks so much for stopping by! For pricing or further info please feel free to e-mail me at droaphotography@hotmail.com.

Sweet Sweet Baby

Newborns are without a doubt my favorite age to photograph and this little guy was so tiny and sweet. At nine days old he was a sleepy little one. He loved being cuddled and rocked and I loved playing with this new little fella. Congrats to the whole family on the new addition, I can tell he's definitely going to be loved. Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon and for letting me play with your new baby, I think I got my baby fix out of the way for a little while anyway hehe. Now on to your peek!

Oh what a family

This was the largest family I've ever photographed and I had so much fun while doing so. Everyone was so helpful with the whole process of arranging and rearranging of people that it made it so much easier for me. Isn't this a large family, what a great idea... how often do we get "everyone" together like this for a family picture?! It's definitely worth it in the end and they'll have this memory forever to hold. Thanks to you ALL for being so cooperative and helpful and making my job so much easier. Enjoy your peek, more to come soon!!

Family

When you think of the word family what do you imagine or think of? I think of laughter, love, joy, happiness and so much more. I always love photographing families because I love to watch the interactions between one another. The way a husband looks at his wife or the way a Mom looks at her son..these are the moments I love photographing. My best images are ones when their not exactly looking directly into the camera, but rather the feel of emotion and love that I get to capture right before they say cheese. It's those moments in which I adore. This family was no different, full of love, admiration, and pride for one another. Little C and S were totally good to me, so full of smiles which made for one rockin shoot! Thanks for allowing and trusting me with these memories. Here are your sneak images, your eye candy...enjoy!

Me and Mine

I feel like because I've been so busy with photographing every one's else's families that I've neglected my own, so I thought I better get out the camera and snap some holiday photos of my family before it's New Years and the holiday has passed. Nothing is ever easy with a toddler (especially mine) he's constantly on the move, so getting him to sit still almost took an army :) But either way it went well, and I am super happy with how they turned out. My boys are truly my everything, and every year they teach me so much about life, they are my reasons for pushing myself to ends I didn't think were possible. It's because of them that I strive to be a better person and mother... so for that I am forever grateful! Now on to the images!
